Today we’re going to look at the element and number of the card, the two components that give a broader understanding of the 3 of Wands, before we get into the specific imagery tomorrow.
The 2 of Wands is not just a single Wand, but two of them, and one might even think of them as two Aces teaming up to create another. In this regard, we have the initial idea of the Ace of Wands, paring with the action element of the Wands, and thus, we have creation, duality, balance and harmony.
We look at these two aspects so that when we are in the moment of reading the card, we can remember the foundation upon which it is built, and use that to guide us in our interpretation.
The focus of the 2’s is about union, harmony and balance. The element of the Wands is Fire, and for this meditation, we’re going to be focussing on how Fire nourishes us, and what it does to build union and balance. You can read more about the actual element itself in tomorrow’s post on Fire, the Wands, and the Number 2.
